WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - Natasha Mann may have been the one in the hotseat today at the courthouse Marion, but her case was eclipsed by the presence within it of a very familiar Saline County name.

Scott Way, 27, formerly of Harrisburg where he was living while a teacher and coach in Hardin County, has emerged from his self-imposed exile after serving out a Saline County sentence for cocaine dating back to 2010.

During testimony on her preliminary hearing for her Class X felony Manufacturing 600 to 1500 ecstasy pills (chronicled here these past several days), it came out that Way was the one allegedly paying Mann to receive shipments of dope from Amsterdam.

Way was arrested March 22 after a second shipment of pills was delivered to Mann's mailbox; he's charged with two Class X felonies: Manufacturing between 600 and 1500 Ecstasy pills, and Controlled Substance Trafficking. His current residence is listed as "unknown," however his current whereabouts are at the Williamson County Jail, where he's being held on a $40,000 cash bond.

Mann, sporting pink hair, appeared today (March 28) for her prelim, and testimony was given by Special Agent Jessie Thompson from the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group Drug Task Force agency. Alex Fine represented Mann; she has a next pretrial on April 25, and she too is being held on a $40,000 cash bond from her most recent arrest. She'd recently been bonded out by a buddy at $4,000, which kind of makes light of her assertions that she was just allegedly running the dope from the Netherlands in order to make ends meet, otherwise, she'd have to "sell her body."
