HARRISBURG, Ill. - On Friday March 24, 2017 an autopsy was performed on Saline County State's Attorney Michael Henshaw, at the Williamson County Morgue by Pathologist Dr. James Jacobi.
Mr.Henshaw died Wednesday night at his residence in Harrisburg.
The preliminary autopsy results indicate that Mr. Henshaw received a fatal cervical spine fracture.
“The injury is consistent with a fall near the stair case at his residence,” said Jerry Watson, Saline County Coroner.
No foul play is suspected in the case, but with Mr. Henshaw being a retired Judge and current State's Attorney, a full investigation is being conducted between the Saline County Coroner's Office, Harrisburg Police Department and the Illinois State Police.
