SALINE CO.— A Harrisburg man well known for his drunk driving antics and driving suspended/ revoked is looking at a minimum of 180 days in the county jail if convicted on his latest charges.
According to the information filed in the case, on March 26, Adam Deon Fort, 33, of 80 Hill Top Rd., Harrisburg, committed the offense of Driving While Driver’s License Revoked 4-9 when he was caught operating a vehicle on Yew Street at Doris Heights Road in Harrisburg at a time when he was not only already serving a probation sentence from 2016 for driving revoked but also at a time when he had previously been convicted on at least three different occasions in two counties for driving suspended or revoked.
Fort’s criminal history includes a conviction April 1, 2005 for Theft for which he was sentenced to 60 days behind bars, probation for 12 months and ordered to pay $902.56.
Fort was taken into custody November 4, 2006 and charged with one count each of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Unlawful Transportation of Alcohol by a Driver, Disregarding a Stop Sign, Improper Turn at Intersection and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
He pleaded guilty to the DUI charge in return for the remainder of the charges being dismissed and a sentence of 40 days in jail, probation for 12 months and $1,770 in fines and fees.
Back on the booze and behind the wheel, Fort was charged December 20, 2009 with Aggravated DUI 3+, Driving Revoked, Unlawful Transportation of Alcohol by a Driver and Improper Lane Usage.
Pleading guilty to the DUI and revoked driving charge in return for the remainder of the charges being dismissed, Fort was ultimately sentenced to jail for 14 days, probation for two years and ordered to pay $1,340 in fines and fees.
A Driving Revoked conviction October 5, 2015 earned Fort a sentence of 30 days in jail, probation for 30 months and ordered to pay $4,406.87, of which he still owes $3,056.87.
When Fort violated the terms of his probation he was resentenced June 28, 2016 to 180 days in the county jail and probation for 30 months.
Thus far there has been no filing to revoke and resentence Fort in the wake of his most recent arrest, which violated the terms of his 2016 probation.
Fort was released from police custody March 28 after a $150 cash bond was posted on his behalf by Jesse Davidson, of 701 West Church St., Harrisburg.
