General Saline drug report features Marion convicted drug dealer charged with weapon

SALINE CO.— Once convicted and now charged again as a drug dealer, Shai Armundex Schauf, 23, of 1100 South Liberty St., Marion, is facing one count of Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, after Saline County authorities say he was found to be in possession of a 12 gauge shotgun.

As of press time Schauf had not been taken into custody.

How exactly authorities know he was in possession of the weapon but didn’t take him into custody is unclear, that is unless an undercover police officer was the one who witnessed the possession of said shotgun.

Schauf’s criminal history in Williamson County includes a conviction September 9, 2010, of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon for which he was sentenced to probation for 30 months and ordered to pay $295 in fines and fees.

Schauf was arrested in Williamson May 5, 2016 and charged with Unlawful Possession of Narcotics and Manufacture/ Delivery of Cocaine.

In a plea deal September 9, 2016 Schauf was sentenced to 113 days in the county jail, probation for 30 months, ordered to undergo drug treatment and ordered to pay $2,885 in fines and fees, of which he still owes $418.26.

Schauf also has pending felony cases in Williamson County including one from September 22, 2016 in which he is charged with Aggravated Battery in a Public Place and another from July 17 in which he is charged with Manufacture/ Delivery of Cannabis.

He also has several pending Saline County cases including one from January 9, 2016 in which he is charged with Domestic Battery and another from November 30 in which he is charged with Driving Suspended.

Cash bond in his Saline weapons case was set at $1,000.

Convicted drug felon with pills

In an unrelated story, a convicted drug felon already serving a sentence following a recent pill possession has been charged with pill possession.

Details in the charge alleges that on July 26 Kari J. Sperling, 30, of 417 West Locust St., Harrisburg, had on her person an amount of tramadol and hydrocodone, earning her two familiar charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

No stranger to drug court, Sperling was arrested August 12, 2011 and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medication), Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.

She pleaded guilty to the controlled substance charge in return for the remainder of the charges being dismissed and a sentence of probation for 24 months and ordered to pay $4,363.59 in fines and fees.

Apparently not the sharpest knife in the drawer, Sperling was convicted July 5, 2016 of one of a pair of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medication) charges and sentenced to probation for 30 months and ordered to pay $5,328.02 in fines and fees, of which she still owes $3,608.02.

Cash bond in the case of the mother if two, who claims to work at “mollerols”, was set at $1,000.

Busted for pill possession

A Harrisburg woman who went to prison for intimidation of a police officer 2015 is now facing drug charges.

Formal charges allege that on August 6 Kristy Jo Farmer, 34, of 113 East Lincoln St., Harrisburg, was found to have on her person less than five grams of meth and an amount of diazepam.

She was formally booked into the county jail on charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (prescription medication).

Farmer was convicted December 5, 2012 of Aggravated Intimidation of a Peace Officer Farmer was sentenced to probation for 36 months and ordered to pay $3,213.89 in fines and fees, of which she still owes $2,068.89.

When she screwed up the terms of her probation she was resentenced September 23, 2014 to probation for another 24 months and when she screwed that up she was resentenced July 22, 2015 to the Illinois Department of Corrections for three and half years.

Cash bond in her case was set at $2,500.

Eldorado pills

Vanessa L. Feuquay, 29, of 812 Third St., Eldorado, has been charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medication) after authorities say on August 4 she was found to have on her person an amount of carisoprodol, also known as soma, commonly used to treat pain and stiffness from muscle spasms and oxycodone, a highly addictive pain medication.

Cash bond in the case of the unmarried mother of three was set at $1,000.
