SALINE/WAYNE COs., Ill. - A new patrol focusing on Illinois' "Move Over" Law, formally known as "Scott's Law,"' has been put into effect, and Illinois State Police in District 19 recently held just such a patrol.
Carmi's District 19 Interim Commander, Lieutenant Lance Hinkle, has submitted the results of four Scott’s Law Details held in Wayne and Saline counties during June.
These Scott’s Law Details provided extra patrol coverage for the ISP so officers could focus on the enforcement of Scott’s Law, also known as the Move Over Law.
