SALINE CO., Ill.—Illinois State police helped Saline County authorities work a wreck in the vicinity of Southeastern Illinois College early yesterday morning.

According to ISP, the crash happened at about 7:42 a.m. yesterday morning (Tuesday, September 9) on College Road at Southeastern Illinois College outside of Harrisburg.

Preliminary traffic crash investigation shows that Kenneth D. Weasel, 30, of Crossville, was driving a 2002 green Toyota Tacoma pickup southbound on College Road waiting to turn left into the SIC parking lot when a 1996 red Toyota Camry, driven by Ryan M. Tibbs, 24, of Cisne, also southbound on College Road, hit the rear of the Toyota.

Tibbs was transported to the hospital in Eldorado. He was also cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to avoid an accident.

ISP was assisted at the traffic crash scene by Saline County Sheriff’s Department; the Toyota Camry was towed from the scene by Jones Towing, Eldorado.
