SALINE CO., Ill.--Family and friends of a missing woman in Saline County say she actually walked out of the hospital in Harrisburg, where she'd checked in to the Mulberry Center previously.
Roberta Wallace, 50, of Harrisburg, had checked in to the Mulberry Center sometime prior to walking out of the facility on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Friends and family said she was having "a mental problem" at that time that necessitated hospitalization.
Between that time and the time she was last seen walking in the vicinity of the hospital in the Gaskins City area of Harrisburg, it's unclear exactly what transpired...as well as how Wallace was able to leave the hospital.
However, the important part is now locating her...and the family and friends are asking for help from the public.
When she was seen outside the hospital, she was wearing a purple tank top, light colored blue jeans, and some thin, spaghetti-strap type flat shoes.
"She probably doesn't know where she is because she is in a state of psychosis," a friend, Neil Bell, reports on his Facebook page, from where this photo of Wallace was shot. Bell said she hadn't had medication since leaving the hospital.
Stating that friends and family fear for Wallace's life, he is urging anyone with any information to contact the family or local authorities if they suspect she is anywhere in the area.
