SALINE CO.— An Eldorado man with a history of violence has been jailed after punching a police officer.

Police reports indicate that Eldorado officers Jerod Gott, Joel Stanley and Clint Hooper were dispatched at 8:48 p.m., December 11 to 1901 Organ St., of reports of Jerry Anthony Allen, 36, of 2005 Fourth St., Eldorado, yelling, cussing and being confrontational with people in the hallway of the apartment complex.

At the time Allen was already facing a Criminal Trespass charge for entering the apartment of his wife, he filed for divorce from in 2013, this after he was ordered three days prior not to be at the apartment at all by officer Ryan Ward.

At approximately 8:51 p.m. Allen was located by officer Gott on the west side of 1901 Organ St.

When he was advised by Gott to stop, Allen continued walking toward his residence on Fourth Street.

Gott then yelled, “Stop, Police!” but Allen kept walking toward Fourth Street with his hands deep in his pockets.

When ordered to removed his hands from said pockets, he looked at Gott, took his hands out of his pockets and advised the officer that he was walking home.

When the officer caught up with Allen at his home he grabbed his shoulder and turned him around only to be by a punch from Allen’s semi-clinched fist, fingers curled, palm up, hitting Gott in the mouth and nose.

And that’s about the time Jer was taken to the ground and introduced to a little bit of electricity via a stun gun deployed by officer Gott.

Jer was ordered facedown but decided he wouldn’t comply, instead turning onto his side, which earned him a warning that he would be stunned again if he continued to resist.

Remember this?

At that point Jer was re-introduced to the stun gun and that’s about the time he decided to comply, but not for long.

Even with the arrival and assistance of officer Joel Stanley, Allen continued to try and pull his hands away in an attempt to thwart efforts to handcuff him.

Officers Hooper, Stanley and Gott managed to get Jer half way into the police cruiser when he decided he didn’t want to place his feet in the squad car.

Allen was pulled back out of the car and sat on the ground and informed that if he didn’t comply he would be placed in additional restraints.

After several minutes Jer was settled into Gott’s cruiser and the trip to the county jail began, but before they could arrived he decided he would bang his rather large head repeatedly off the rear passenger window.

While some would vote to allow Allen to mash his melon all he wanted, Gott pulled over and, with assistance, restrained Jer’s feet and made him lie down in the seat so he couldn’t damage his battered cranium any further.

Because stupidity has yet to become a crime, upon arrival at the county detention center, Allen was booked on formal charges of Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer.

A Disorderly Conduct charge was also filed alleging that Allen acted in such an unreasonable manner as to alarm and disturb Patricia Smith.

Jerry Allen was convicted of two counts of Domestic Battery November 2, 2015 and ordered to pay $4,650 in fines and fees.

He also has a current pending case from Nov. 8, 2015 in which he is charged with felony Domestic Battery.

Allen claims to be an unemployed, disabled, married father of two.

Given that he fought with three police officers and a stun gun had to be used repeatedly just to get his attention, it appears his “disability” may be one of a psychological nature instead of physical.

Cash bond in the case was set at $1,500.
