SALINE CO.— As the day moves closer for voters to cast their ballots, the candidates in several races of concern in southern Illinois are ratcheting up their ground game to get their message out to the public…but some are going a bit too far even according to their own Party.

A spokesperson for the Saline County Republicans says their Party in no way agrees or condones the recent antics carried out by state’s attorney candidate Molly Wilson-Dearing and state rep candidate Jason Kasiar.

“What these two are doing is not in keeping with the high standards this party is known for,” the spokesperson said. “Their actions are in short, disgustingly childish.”

It is as if publically having an extramarital affair weren’t enough attention for Molly and Kasiar.

“Do they think people are just going to overlook the breakup of two marriages?” the spokesperson asked. “Now they are calling attention to themselves with these childish placements of their candidacy signs.”

Kasiar and Molly were spotted at one location placing Kasiar signs directly, within a few inches, in front of incumbent state’s attorney Mike Henshaw’s signs.

And at another spot, identified as the corner of Rte. 13 and Commercial Street in Harrisburg, and Kasiar and Molly were spotted planting rectangular white signs with the word ‘incumbent’ written in black and a red box surrounding it with a red slash through the box, depicting ‘No Incumbent.’

What’s in a name?

“Other than the obvious problem with decorum, which these two don’t seem to know how to spell much less have,” said the spokesperson, “is that the ‘no incumbent’ signs are not only right beside Mr. Henshaw and Mr. Phelps’ signs, but directly in front of the sign for the Saline County Republicans.”

And it wasn’t just the placement of the signs, it was the signs themselves.

“We Republicans have incumbents running that we feel are highly qualified and have served the public very well,” the spokesperson said. “Both Circuit Clerk Randy Nyberg and Coroner Jerry Doug Watson have served the voters well for many years.

“The Democrat party doesn’t come after incumbents with such tripe and we Republicans don’t encourage the running of such races.”

Another critique of Molly’s displays is the fact that Molly Wilson-Dearing doesn’t have her last name anywhere on her signs.

Many speculate that it could be because Molly doesn’t want to address the fact that her open affair with Kasiar has destroyed her marriage and will affect her children.

Others spitefully say, that win lose or draw, it could be because Molly intends to run for state’s attorney again in the future and can’t be sure what her last name will be at that time, so she is playing it safe, saving money and using only her first name.

Documents don’t lie

And it would seem that campaign signs, last names and whom she is committing adultery with aren’t the extent of Molly’s difficulties.

Disclosure published an exclusive story, backed with official documents from Springfield and both governors Quinn and Rauner, last issue showing that Molly has been lying to prospective voters about her job with the state.

Molly has been claiming on her Facebook, in her advertising and to anybody who would listen that she has been a judge.

The fact is Molly is not now nor has she ever been a judge or anything resembling a judge.

“Looking at the evidence, including the documentation by the state, there is just no way anyone fit for office could accidentally believe they were a judge,” said one long-time Republican who said he is not voting a straight ticket for the first time in two decades.

You be the judge

In fact, since the publishing of the state documents in the last issue of Disclosure, both from official state records and from the offices of the past Democrat and current Republican governors, Molly has gone out of her way to avoid the subject of her claiming to have been a judge.

“I was at an event in Harrisburg a couple weeks ago with family,” a Carmi man informed Disclosure during production week of this issue. “When I saw Molly Wilson there I asked her if she had ever been a judge.”

The man said that Molly stared at him, looked around nervously and asked him to repeat himself.

“I saw on your Facebook that you say you have been a judge but then read a story and saw documents in Disclosure showing that is not true,” the man claimed he said to Molly. “So what’s the truth? Have you ever been a judge?”

The man said Molly got red-faced, physically stumbled forward, then pivoted, turned and walked away from him and out the nearest exit.

Has it already gotten worse

The Republican spokesperson declined to comment on the fibs Molly has had on her Facebook page.

“I think the childish games with campaign sign placement and the open affair between Mr. Kasiar and Mrs. Dearing says enough about the quality of these two candidates,” the source said. “I just hope it doesn’t get any worse.”

On deadline, Disclosure was informed that the Molly/Kasiar team is attempting making some big deal over incumbent Mike Henshaw using cuss words during a recorded phone call.

Whatever it is that Henshaw is alleged to have said likely couldn’t compare with the explicit language used by Kasiar and Molly during sexting conversations obtained by Disclosure.

Those texts are currently being reviewed by Disclosure attorneys for publication, due to the graphic nature of the vulgar language used in them.
