SALINE CO.— The level of violence coming from the Illinois Youth Center also known as Kiddy Prison, located at 1201 West Polar St., continues.
This issue at least three inmates have been charged with violence against corrections employees.
Hits Prince
Marcus Bell, also known as Inmate #D50609, 19, has been charged with Aggravated Battery.
Authorities say on December 12, 2016 Bell struck correctional employee Susan M. Prince in the back of her head and neck, at a time when he knew Prince to be a correctional employee in the performance of her duties.
A second count of Aggravated Battery accuses Bell of shoving Miss Prince to the floor.
Grabs Reynolds
Jeremy Brock, also known as inmate #D50911, 18, has been charged with Aggravated Battery.
The formal charge in the case alleges that on January 15 Brock grabbed the buttocks of correctional employee Hannah W. Reynolds at a time when he knew her to be a correctional employee performing her official duties.
Shoves Hill
Lavelle L. Staples, also known as inmate #D51034, 18, has been charged with Aggravated Battery after police say on January 26 he shoved corrections employee James R. Hill at a time when he knew Hill to be a correctional institution employee performing his official duties.
