SALINE CO.— A former Eldorado man has been charged with sexually assaulting a young child.
According to information filed in the case, between February 1 and March 8, 2016 Phillip Jack “PJ” Hayes, 28, of 19 West Water St., Harrisburg, knowingly committed an act of sexual penetration with five year old child.
Hayes currently faces two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
He is a convicted drug felon having been found guilty June 4, 2013 on one count of Methamphetamine Manufacturing for which he was sentenced to probation for 48 months and ordered to pay $4,485.75.
Hayes earned himself a stint in prison when he was convicted April 3, 2013 on one count of Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer for which he was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for four years and ordered to pay $424.14 in fines and fees, of which he still owes $374.14.
If convicted in the sexual assault case Hayes could face from 6 to 60 years behind bars.
