Jariah Thomas Moss, 32, of Harrisburg, was sentenced today by Judge Walden E. Morris to 12 years in Illinois Department of Corrections after a guilty plea was entered to Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 1 felony. Along with that sentence, Moss will be facing two years mandatory supervised release (parole), a $3,000 fine and costs.

During the investigation lead by the SIDTF, Moss sold 1.6 grams of cocaine to a confidential informant of the agency while present at the Walmart parking lot in Harrisburg.

Moss is currently awaiting trial on a 2013 Residential Burglary charge, also in Saline. That case is set for jury trial on April 30.

Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Olson led the successful prosecution of Moss.
