OPs fly in Anna Bixby-related case

SALINE CO.—The ongoing drama that surrounds matters of the Anna Bixby Women’s Center this issue has taken on an entirely new face this month with the emergence of Orders of Protection involving a former employee, now-convict, in relation to the case.

Multiple OPs have been filed at the Saline County courthouse involving Amanda Pritchett, 32, of Harrisburg, who was charged with and convicted of a felony in connection with the same crimes an attorney general’s grand jury indicted Barbara Wingo, 76, of Golconda, and Terrie Eichorn, 50, her daughter, of Elizabethtown, with in late March.

The Wingo/Eichorn combine are slowly grinding their way through the court process; Pritchett’s case was settled the day it was announced, wherein she was ordered on “intensive probation” for a year, and to pay restitution in an amount of money it was alleged she thieved from the women’s center while employed.

Pritchett’s “intensive probation” might be in jeopardy, however, is the OPs are valid and, in particular, if she violates them…especially after a plenary (two-year) order is entered upon a July 9 hearing.

But not only is Pritchett involved in the OPs. Other members of her family, including her husband Dallas and apparently a son, Chase, have both also been subject to OPs as issued by two people in Saline, Dustin and Tiffany Kielhorn, who both claim they’ve been harassed by all of the Pritchetts in one form or another.

Spoofed

In the first petition, filed by Dustin Kielhorn against Amanda Pritchetts, Kielhorn wrote that on or about May 1 of this year, Tiffany Kielhorn received “several phone calls and text messages from Amanda Pritchett (number listed but deleted here—ed.), one of the messages threatened us saying ‘I hope you guys have Aflac cuz I will keep pouring fuel to this fire!’ Tiffany called Saline Co. and reported it to Deputy Gooch. He called Amanda and told her to leave us alone. Since that time, on May 6, at 9:01 a.m. Tiffany received a phone call that was ‘spoofed’ from (number deleted). By calling AT&T they informed her that the number was not a working number and someone had ‘spoofed’ the call to her. Tiffany filed a report with AT&T abuse and called Deputy Gooch as well. AT&T can verify the call was ‘spoofed.’”

Kielhorn then indicated problems with an email from Pritchett, to which they replied that they wanted her to leave them alone.

“On May 17 at 1:12 p.m. Tiffany received a blocked call and also on May 31 at 3:05 p.m. On April 30, we had my phone number changed so she would leave (Dustin) alone. However, on June 3, Dustin received a spoofed call on his new number from (number deleted) and on June 4 a text from the same number asking who is this. It is not a working number,” Kielhorn wrote.

However, that wasn’t all.

On an additional page, Kielhorn stated “Ironically on June 2, Tiffany received a text message from (number deleted) asking who is this. After texting back and being told she had called the (number deleted) twice that day she immediately knew her number had been ‘spoofed’ making it look like she was calling. Our AT&T bill will verify no call was ever made from her phone number (deleted) to (number deleted). However, the new number that Dustin had gotten ends in (number deleted) Also the (number deleted) that had texted Dustin on June 4 included the last four numbers of our AT&T password, making it seem like Amanda knew Dustin’s new number by breaking into our AT&T account. Also on June 4 Tiffany’s Citibank online account was shut off due to someone trying to access it with the wrong password. AT&T can track and verify the spoofed calls but all of that documentation must be subpoenaed by a court.”

Alleges violence, but

no criminal report exists

In the petition against Dallas Pritchett, the Kielhorns advised that on the May 1 date, at 411 W. Lincoln in Harrisburg, at approximately 8 a.m. “Dallas and Amanda Pritchett drove up behind Dustin and (Tiffany) in Tiffany’s Jeep in the parking lot where (Tiffany) works (same address).”

The Kielhorns stated “Dallas jumped out yelling and then we took off. They followed us and crossed around, met us head-on at Sloan Street. He tried to block us but then pulled beside us yelling. Both Dallas and Amanda called Tiffany several times that day.”

Mention was made of emails again, then phone calls using a blocked number on April 29, twice. Following those calls, “both Dallas and Amanda called and texted Tiffany repeatedly for the next two days.”

The petition pointed out that on May 19, “when Amanda had emailed Dustin, Tiffany emailed Dallas again warning him that she wouldn’t leave us alone. A reply came at 11:48 threatening Dustin. No other texts or emails have been sent to Dallas or Amanda since then.”

But then the matter devolved into alleged violence.

“On May 22 at 4:30 a.m.,” the Kielhorn petition reads, “Dallas walked into Mach 1 gas station and punched Dustin in the jaw as he was waiting in line to pay. Dallas left the store.”

There was no arrest made of Dallas Pritchett, who has a history of being charged with felonies in Saline, but the charges subsequently being dismissed. Violence is among the counts charged against him in the past.

Between the kids

Then finally, an OP filed against Chase Pritchett (and, parenthetically, Amanda and Dallas Pritchett) appeared on file, this one as issued by Walker Kielhorn (and, parenthetically, Dustin and Tiffany Kielhorn).

Paperwork shows that Chase Pritchett is 15; no age for the Kielhorn boy was indicated in the court files.

The petition reads that on June 22, “at 10:20 p.m., our (the Kielhorn’s) son Walker Kielhorn received an email from Chase Pritchett on his phone. It said ‘F*&k you.’ Walker replied ‘what’ and the response was ‘You been talkin about my mom. Let me see you and you gonna back up all the comments from the past like father like son.’ Walker then brought me his phone and I sent a message telling them ‘not to contact us again’ and I was filing a restraining order. They had been misinformed and to get the story straight.

“Later that evening,” the petition continues, “on Chase Pritchett’s Instagram there was a post referring to the restraining order, telling him to watch his back and ‘Run to your mommy, she can’t protect you forever.’

“On May 19, Walker also received an Instagram from Chase telling him ‘there would be Pritchett/Kielhorn throwdown if he found out Walker was talking about his mom.’”

Granted…but for how long?

All the OPs requested indicated that the Kielhorns wanted the Pritchetts to stay away from them at their Highway 34 residence, Dustin’s place of employment, the kids’ schools (East Side School and Carrier Mills High School) and “restaurants, fairgrounds, public places and via social media.”

All the OPs were granted, and a hearing was set for July 9.

However, it appears there might not be much to uphold once the matter gets in front of Judge Todd Lambert.

Sources advise that the entire matter was likely overblown and was generated by perceived animosity, first between the two youngsters, then between Tiffany Kielhorn and Amanda Pritchett, who used to be friends.

Further, Pritchett, when reached for comment by Disclosure, advised that while she couldn’t relate specifics about the matter, she was rather surprised by the service of the OP on her and on her son, noting that she didn’t even know what “phone spoofing” was and had to look it up after she was handed her paperwork.

And of course, there remains no criminal complaint made about Dallas Pritchett “punching Dustin Kielhorn in the jaw” at Harrisburg’s MotoMart.

The outcome of the July 9 hearing will be featured in the July 15 edition of Disclosure.

These are the specially trained police officers from the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System Special Weapons Assault Team who are tasked with clearing and rooting out bad guys. Training was conducted in the 800 block of North Main Street in Harrisburg June 17. They may look a bit intimidating but you will be glad they are on scene if you have a violent dirtbag set up shop in your neighborhood.

Well here we are, our first two-week-turnaround paper, and aside from a couple of typos (one on the front page, naming the Heartland page numbers...ouch...) we're good to go! A two-week turnaround, as we call it, is getting to be like our three-week papers were...easier to do each time. And so, we'll continue the every-two-week paper until one of two things happen: We decide we don't like it, or we decide that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the time has come for Disclosure to change format...and go to a weekly. If we do that, we'll have a few changes, including pricing on the cover as well as subscriptions. We'll likely remain on a tabloid size, since it's easier for our vendors. Or....we'll do what we were thinking about doing three years ago and splitting north and south, with two papers. Whatever the case, we want to make YOU happy...and judging by response to the last issue, we sure did to it with that one. Now, we're here to tell you about this one....with THIS ISSUE'S PRINT HEADLINES. Print headlines are what we produce every issue so you can see what the print version has in it; as well, it links over to our e-Edition, which is how you can read the whole paper online if you so desire. Print headlines are presented by dateline first (the county or town of the coverage area where the material in the article took place), followed by a headline link, and a brief synopsis in our own snarky Disclosure style. They are segmented out by Front page, Back page (second front page), Pages 2 and 3, Features if any, then Egypt, Heartland and Central, and finally Op-Ed.

And now, without any further ado, here's THIS ISSUE'S PRINT HEADLINES.

PAGE 1

Screen Shot 2015-06-29 at 8.37.34 PMRICHLAND CO.--OP issued as child abuse alleged: In one of the most bizarre--and yet, most Richland County--articles we've produced in a while, here we have a guy who's trying to expose the fact that a late-20s-something is living with and presumably having relations with a 15 year old, known commonly in the state of Illinois as Criminal Sexual Abuse (statutory rape)...and instead of something being done, he gets slapped with an OP by the girl's mother. You gotta read it to believe it.

HARRISBURG--ILEAS SWAT training in Saline County: In an article that actually appears on page 13 in full color, there's been a lot of training going on in the area. Are they gearing up for something...or are they just having to use it or lose it on grant money? Read and see.

WAYNE CO.--Sheriff, deputy subject of suit: This is a late breaking story that came to us literally on deadline and after the courthouse was closed. Just when you thought things had calmed down pretty much in Wayne County, up pops something from a year ago that's landed the sheriff and a deputy in hot water. Call Sonny McCulley, boyz, and ask what he'd do.

      .

Yep. This is a nekkid boob shot. We just edited out the boobs. Well, the appendages. The REAL boob is shown right here.

MARION--Badge bunny sued over death of motorcyclist: Print coverage of the story we brought to you during production week about infamous Brittany Badge Bunny Lane being sued by the widow of the man who died in a Brittster-related collision last fall. This is the full report over what you got online, so don't miss this; it'll set the stage for everything to come.

SALINE CO.--OPs fly in Anna Bixby-related case: This was one we didn't expect to see when we went courthouse crawling in Saline, but it was too interesting to not produce....and there were a lot of people who had a lot of questions about it. Hopefully, in this article, we've cleared those up.

BACK PAGE

yates kermitWHITE CO.--Personal attacks continue against man who shot dog: The follow up to last issue's big front-pager about the misdirection a dumb 20-something put the public through about her pit bull being shot...and in this issue, you get to see the distraction techniques she engages in until she was called out on it.

GALLATIN CO.--More input into Downen perks at IDOC: We had a lot of people wondering if the information we produced in the May-June issue on Bobby Downen was all there was to the story. It wasn't; here's some more.

GALLATIN CO.--Unlawful consumption and dismissed deceptive practice: Not a lot of news coming out of Gallatin this month, so we decided to put what we had on the bottom of page 3, under all that kaka about the OP in Richland County.

SALINE CO.--Cocaine convict jailed after allegedly threatening to show nude photos to woman's family, husband: Listen. If you take nekkid pics of yourself and send them to someone, those don't come with an automatic warning about "not using them for any purpose other than fwapping." However, our Illinois legislators, in their infinite wisdom, somehow protected the Marching Morons who insist on taking pics of their parts and sending them around to every Tom, Dick & Harry...or in this case, James. Who's the one who's in trouble. Personally, we believe that if you take pics of yourself naked and send them to other people, you should be charged with trafficking porn. Period.

SALINE CO.--Date set by AG's office for removal of accused from Anna Bixby board: In month three of the Anna Bixby saga, the attorney general's office is looking to get the Wingo/Eichorn combine off the board. Will they go, or will they have to be forced?

SALINE CO.--Saline County misdemeanors include repeat offenders and a guy up from Cave: A cute little misdemeanor story out of Saline, which we've started to pick up now since it looks like the "local" daily paper isn't interested in covering misdemeanors anymore...and really, it could fold any day now. Should we do a weekly in Harrisburg? Possibly. We'll keep you posted.

GALLATIN CO.--No-Contact Orders granted on behalf of cats and dogs: While we're the world's biggest proponents of animals being cared for properly and treated with love, this one...is a little over the top.

Former Carrier Mills man charged with raping 13-year-old daughter of girlfriend

Screen Shot 2015-07-13 at 11.41.53 AM

SALINE CO.— A former Carrier Mills lowlife has been charged in an eight-count information for allegedly raping a 13-year-old.

On June 27 at approximately 2:40 a.m. Saline County Central Dispatch received a call from a 15-year-old female saying that she was at People’s National Bank on Main and Sloan Streets in Harrisburg with her 13-year-old friend who had just been raped by Deangelo Maurice Cowper, 31.

City officers Kenny Shires and Curt Hustedde responded to find the caller and the 13-year-old, identified here as Jane Doe.

Doe informed officers that she was at her home on Lincoln Street and Cowper, who was her mother’s boyfriend, was there.

Doe said that Cowper had come into her bedroom and asked her if she wanted to see a smoke trick.

She said Cowper took her into her mother’s bedroom, started smoking out of a pipe and insisted that she do the same.

She said she unwillingly did and Cowper took her into the living room and sat her on the couch.

Snorting white powder

Doe said Cowper produced a white powder and, telling her it was ice, made her snort it.

The 13-year-old said he then lifted her shirt, removed her breasts from her bra and forcibly fondled and licked her breasts.

She said he then forced his penis into her mouth.

Doe said she told him it wasn’t right, pushed him away and went to her room.

She said 30 minutes later he yelled for her to come into the living room where he asked for breath mints, forced her to do some ice again and forcibly licked her crotch through her shorts.

She said Cowper told her she was “thick and sexy” and that he wanted to have sex with her.

When she told him that it was “that time of the month” he allegedly responded with “that’s the only reason I am not going to have sex with you.”

Doe said she had reported Cowper’s past comments about her being “thick and sexy” to her mom, but that her mother just “blew it off.”

Doe said she then jumped out of a window to get away from Cowper and contacted a friend, who met her at People’s National Bank where they called police.

Drugs in her system

While authorities were talking to Doe she complained about “feeling funny” and an ambulance was called to take her to Harrisburg Medical Center where she was drug tested.

The test revealed the 13-year-old had cocaine and methamphetamine in her system.

Sheryl Woodham of the Guardian Center was contacted and came to the medical center and conducted a forensic interview with Doe.

Smoked crack all night

At 4:25 a.m., when authorities contacted Cowper, who claimed to live in the Lincoln Street home with Doe and her mother, he told the officer he was currently busy, that he had been smoking crack all night and was smoking weed in an attempt to get his head together.

The busy suspected rapist finally contacted authorities back at about 7:41 p.m. and wanted to do a telephone interview because he feared there was a warrant for his arrest.

Cowper was informed that authorities needed a written statement or a recorded interview and so consented to talking on a recorded phone line.

On that line he told officers that he had been living at the Lincoln Street address with Doe and her mother for about a month and that he and Doe’s mother had been smoking crack all night and that mom had left to get some more.

He said Doe came out of her bedroom to talk to him and he asked her for a breath mint.

Cowper, making little sense, said Doe had been doing drugs and he was talking her out of doing drugs but that he never saw her do drugs.

He said she had been making up stories about him touching her because she was afraid he would tell her mother she was using drugs.

Significant criminal history

Cowper has a significant criminal history including a conviction September 5, 2002 of Burglary for which he was sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to pay $2,790 in fines and fees, of which he still owes $2,708.55.

He was convicted January 24, 2003 of Resisting a Peace Officer and sentenced to 182 days in the county jail.

A conviction for Retail Theft October 15, 2004 that started out with a sentence of 24 months probation ended with 27 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after Cowper was apparently too stupid to stay out of trouble.

The sh!tbag still owes taxpayers $3,512 in fines and fees from that case.

Records indicate he still has a numerous pending cases, including one from November 5, 2009, in which he is charged with Theft; another from March 12, 2010, in which he faces three charges of Felon Failure to Return from Furlough; and another from April 15, 2014, in which he is charged with Theft.

At the time of his arrest, Cowper had just finished serving 20 days in the county jail and was just beginning to serve six months of a probation sentence handed him March 31 after he was convicted of Criminal Trespass to Building.

Held on eight counts

Cowper has been formally charged with three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault and five counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

He is currently being held in the Saline County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond.

SALINE CO.— A Harrisburg convicted sex predator has been charged with accosting a local cashier.

According to charges filed in the case, on June 24, Adam Lee Joshua McKendree, 28, of Ledford School Road, Harrisburg, while at the Dollar Tree, located at 700 Rollie Moore Dr., Harrisburg, committed an act of Aggravated Battery when he grabbed, hugged and kissed Jaime L. Owens, while she was working at the store as a cashier.

McKendree is also facing one count of Disorderly Conduct alleging that on the same day he asked Owens to look at his penis.

McKendree was convicted January 1, 2008 of one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a victim between the ages of 13-16, for which he was sentenced to two years special probation and fined $3,951.60.

At the time of his arrest McKendree was serving a two-year probation sentence handed him April 20, 2015 after he was convicted of being a Sexual Predator in a Public Park.

He still owes $1,551.80 in that case.

Cash bond in the current case has been set at $1,500.

‘D!ckhead’ lands Eldorado man behind bars on drug charges

$

Screen Shot 2015-07-13 at 3.30.22 PMSALINE CO.— An Eldorado man landed behind bars after he let fly an expletive within earshot of the city’s chief of police.

Reports indicate that on June 24 at approximately 10:38 p.m., Eldorado Chief of Police Shannon Deuel was on routine patrol northbound on Trolley Road at Locust Street in Eldorado when he passed two male subjects walking eastbound on Locust Street just west of Trolley Road.

As Deuel drove past, one of the males yelled “D!CKHEAD!”

Chief Deuel hasn’t exactly been the most popular of lawmen over the past several years and certainly has his critics.

It is unknown if Deuel is used to being referred to by that name so much he responds out of instinct, if the name instantly hurt his pride or if he honestly wondered what was going on.

Whatever the case, Deuel stopped his police cruiser, put the vehicle in reverse and backed up alongside local troublemakers Carl E. Payne and Austin Rector.

When asked what they yelled Payne, 24, of the 2200 block of Grand Ave., Eldorado, said he yelled “d!ckhead” at Tyler Gaines and when asked why, he said because he and Mr. Gaines weren’t getting along at that moment.

That’s about the time chief Deuel noticed what he described as “a strong odor of cannabis” (spelled ‘Nannabis’ in his report) emanating from Payne’s body.

When officer Adam Stanley arrived on scene, chief Deuel asked him if he could smell cannabis and Stanley confirmed that he could.

Deuel allegedly asked Payne where the weed was and Payne (not renowned as the brightest crayon in the box) reached into his left shorts cargo pocket and pulled out three baggies of marijuana. (Apparently someone neglected to tell Carl that a person can’t be arrested for being stoned, nor for smelling like pot; and if a law enforcement official states he can “smell” marijuana, that might be enough for a search, but “giving consent” is the active phrase in this situation).

Stanley placed Payne in handcuffs and a further search of his person subsequent to arrest produced a small yellow glass cannabis smoking pipe and a pocket watch that when opened was hollowed out except for two small baggies of meth, something watch makers were never known to place in their products.

Mr. Payne was also found to be in possession of some $1,900 in cash, which chief Deuel advised he would be seizing because he believed the cash was the result of illegal drug activity.

Apparently Rector escaped unscathed this go-round.

Payne is a convicted felon having been sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections December 9, 2014 on convictions for Burglary and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medication).

Looks like that prison math put him back out on the streets in a matter of months instead of years.

For his latest alleged criminal act, Payne was booked into the county jail on charged of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.

Cash bond in his case was set at $1,000.

JACKSON CO. via SALINE CO.—The Wyoming convicted sex offender who once was charged with a similar crime in Saline County was non-compliant with the Illinois Sex Offender Registry as of press time, July 12…and had been for several days.

And authorities across Jackson, Williamson, and even Saline counties are looking for Jordan McGuire, this after he failed to show at a hearing for a name change petition in Jackson County in Murphysboro on June 29.

On that day, the name change was denied—an extremely rare occurrence, as there is seldom anyone who opposes such a thing as a name change for a person wishing to do so.

However, that’s exactly what happened, since the week before, in a hearing for the very purpose of objection, Judge Charles Grace listened patiently as a group of concerned citizens, knowing who Jordan Lee McGuire was and why he wanted the name change (it wasn’t just for purposes of “show business,” a common tact for many to take when doing so; it was to evade the massive internet identification that “Jordan Lee McGuire” returns on a google search), explained their purpose of objection.

The group brought with them copious documentation showing that McGuire, having been convicted of a sexual battery misdemeanor in Laramie, Wyoming, in May of this year, was simply trying to escape into the persona of the chosen “Christian Sawyer Thomas Hanson,” the name he was seeking.

On June 29, Grace made his ruling: No name change.

But McGuire wasn’t even present at that ruling.

Instead, he’d been informed by the state of Wyoming that, since he was a sex offender in their state, he was going to have to register as one in the state of Illinois, too…and as a result, he was nowhere to be found.

McGuire had, for the purposes of Jackson County court, listed an address as an apartment in Carbondale.

However, sources close to McGuire indicated that he wasn’t living in said apartment, which would explain why county officials, making inquiry into why McGuire hadn’t yet registered, couldn’t find him in Carbondale.

And, further to that…they couldn’t find him anywhere.

It’s been reported that McGuire, whose last Illinois residence was in Carterville, is actually hiding out in Williamson County, in Herrin at his parents’ house.

As of press time, McGuire hadn’t yet been found there, either. And now, he’s listed on the state’s sex offender registry as “non-compliant.”

McGuire escaped a sex crime conviction after a 2007 incident involving some Saline County boys in school at Southeastern Illinois College outside of Harrisburg.

He escaped same in 2014, after being charged in 2012 in Vanderburgh County in Indiana with a sex-related crime against a young man there when McGuire was a student teacher at a high school in Evansville; a jury found him not guilty because the victim ended up not willing to testify and the state hadn’t met its burden.

The Wyoming case ended in a plea in May, and McGuire apparently believed he could come back to Illinois and begin life anew as Chris Hanson.

That, thanks to the diligent work of people concerned that a sex offender might slip through the cracks, didn’t happen.

However, it’s entirely possible that in a few weeks, the next report on McGuire will be that of a Class 4 felony Failure to Register…which will mean a new mugshot over the old worn-out one everyone’s using from Wyoming.

Shooting accident leaves bitter recrimination

Authorities in Harrisburg are still trying to piece together what happened at the Nathan and Adrian Hill home on Sunday, July 5.

Authorities in Harrisburg are still trying to piece together what happened at the Nathan and Adrian Hill home on Sunday, July 5.

SALINE CO.—Recriminations are flying in the wake of an accident with a shotgun on the evening of Sunday, July 5.

And there appears to be good reason, if the wife of the victim is to be believed.

Nathan Hill, 27, was disfigured and is fortunate to have not ended his life when a shotgun he was waving around that evening—in what his wife Adrian Hill, 23, says was a fit of rage—discharged and struck him on the left side of his face.

The Hills had been at a pool party outing with friends and had just arrived at their home on Raymond Street when it’s reported that Nathan Hill began behaving irrationally, this, said his wife, after he had been drinking whiskey at the pool party.

Adrian—who is the younger sister of locally-infamous badge bunny Brittany Lane, but who, relatives say, is nothing like her—explained in an online post that her husband got out of their car and began beating her up.

When she was able to get away from him, and with all three of their kids in the house, she was able to call friends, and saw Hill come out of their house with what she thought was a foam baseball bat.

As it turned out, it was a shotgun.

With two friends she’d called having already arrived on the scene, they and Adrian watched as Hill stuck the gun under his jaw and managed to discharge it.

Miraculously, the shot didn’t go through his head, but instead carved a path outward away from his brain and across the left side of his face, most of which was blown off. The male friend who had arrived to help the two was able to “hold his head together,” according to one account, as Hill lay on the ground and emergency services were called.

Hill was transported to Harrisburg Medical Center, then on to a St. Louis hospital. There, the treating physicians waited for the swelling to go down before they began attempting to close the hole. Hill had lost bone, teeth, and a lot of tissue on the left side of his face, but at that point (and as of press time, July 12), not his left eye.

Adrian Hill said that she couldn’t go visit her husband at the hospital at first. However, as the week progressed, she was able to do so, and it appears they are working through the problems and the crisis that this disfiguring injury is bringing into their lives.

What prompted Nathan Hill to behave in such a manner, however, is something that investigating officials are still working through. Other than the fact that Hill had been drinking something other than his usual adult beverage of choice, there’s no clear indication of what was in his system that may have prompted him to act the way he did…if there was anything at all.

The investigation, and Hill’s recovery, continues.

SALINE CO.—The underage punk who caught a break last November 29 simply because he didn’t kill himself in a horrific accident on Harco Road west of Harrisburg has entered a plea to one of the five felonies charged against him.

Kyle Eichorn, now 19, who, at age 18 last November tested positive for every possible kind of illicit substance after he wrecked his car and injured another boy, entered a plea to Count 5 of his Aggravated DUI charge Monday, July 6.

Eichorn, of Hardin County, is the son of Terrie Wingo Eichorn and grandson of Barbara Wingo, both of them lately of the beleaguered Anna Bixby Women’s Center in Harrisburg, and both of whom are under indictment for massive multiple felonies involving corruption in that agency.

Considering the amount of money the two are alleged to have filched from the not-for-profit domestic violence organization, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that the nice vehicle Kyle Eichorn wrecked in the early morning hours of Nov. 29, a 2011 Chevy Cruze, might have been paid for with such funds.

Most assuredly, the young punk’s attitude is derived from the “untouchable” status the Wingo-Eichorn combine seemed to possess…until the late March indictments came down.

Thus far, Kyle Eichorn and his father, former Hardin County board chairman Wayne Eichorn, have escaped suspicion from the Illinois Attorney General’s office, who prosecuted the case against the Anna Bixby women, although Wayne Eichorn, on October 6, 2014 when the investigation into the ABWC doings kicked off, was ordered to park a van he’d been driving as a personal vehicle but which was supposed to have been for ABWC use only.

Bad enough that Eichorn had every illicit substance available in south counties in his system when he wrecked, and that it’s possible ABWC money was funding that.

Eichorn’s first Aggravated DUI count resulted from having cannabis in his system.

The second count resulted from having meth in his system.

The third count resulted from having benzodiazepine (active ingredient in Xanax) in his system.

The fourth and fifth counts resulted from having a high alcohol concentration in his system.

It was to the fifth count Eichorn pled.

A boy from Marion, Nick Vincellette, also 18 at the time, was injured in the crash.

Eichorn, as well, was injured, with both legs broken.

Eichorn’s then-girlfriend, Breauna Kumorek, and her mother, Tiffany Conkle, were a part of the massive pill-moving drug roundup in Hardin County on July 1.

While those two are now the faces of ABWC, having replaced those who either quit or were fired at the agency in the wake of the Wingo-Eichorn arrests, Breauna is no longer in the coveted Kyle-Eichorn-girlfriend role; that has shifted a couple of times since last December.

Kyle Eichorn’s punishment, it might be noted, isn’t much, but it is expensive.

For his guilty plea, he was put on 30 months of probation with special conditions; ordered to perform 480 hours of public service, do 10 days in jail, and pay fines and fees in the amount of $20,779.04 (yes, the decimal point is correct in that figure as it appears here.)

A total of $13,752.04 has been paid of that, leaving a balance of $7,027.

Since Anna Bixby money has largely dried up for the Eichorns, it remains to be see how much of, and how soon, the remaining balance will be paid.

BROUGHTON KID FINALLY GOING TO IDOC

Aaron A. Rector

Aaron A. Rector

HAMILTON CO., Ill.--One of Hamilton County's youngest ongoing/repeat offenders is finally headed to DOC.

Hamilton County prosecutor Justin Hood has reported that Aaron A. Rector, 18, of Broughton, plead to three years in Illinois Department of Corrections for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 2 felony.

Hood said Rector sold some of his prescription medication, Schedule II Ritalin, a controlled substance, to an undercover Confidential Source. The case was handled by the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, who's been REALLY busy in the area recently. The buy happened on March 31, 2015.

He was given the boot camp recommendation. He is located in White County jail currently.

If you're a regular here at the site and/or a regular reader of the print version, you'll recall that Rector has been trouble since his early teens, having been involved in this, this, and this alleged criminal activity. He apparently learned nothing from juvie; maybe big-boy prison will do him some good.

Hey, here we are in the third of the every-other-week papers...and it's going WELL!

We're not as exhausted as we thought we would be, nobody on staff has killed or maimed anyone, and the news...well, the news keeps pouring in and filling up the pages. We should've done this a long time ago.

Now the question is...will we keep it up? And if so, for how long? Right now, it's looking like we're going to do this until at least the end of August. Beyond that, we might go back to a three-weeker every once in awhile, even while on vacation. With all the newspaper offices shuttering all around us, and reports that the ones that are continuing to publish are "too expensive for what they are" and they "don't have anything in them," who knows...? Weekly isn't out of the realm of possibility. We've done it before, in a previous life; it can be done again.

In the meantime...here's this awesome issue; we worked hard, put it together in a matter of days, actually. Not as typo-filled as the July Special Edition, so you won't have fun picking them all out...but boy the articles. These are great, you're going to enjoy them. Print headlines are given to you in order of section (Page 1, Back Page - which is our second front page - Pages 2 and 3, Features if there are any, Egypt, Heartland and Central, and finally Op-Ed). They are presented by dateline (the county or city of the coverage area where the material in the article is from), headline (which links to the e-Edition article), and then a brief synopsis of the material covered, done in our own snarky Disclosure style. And now, we present to you...THIS ISSUE'S PRINT HEADLINES!

There's some stuff in this article that we've known as made privy to us YEARS ago and have never brought out...now, it's time, and it's pertinent. And believe me when we tell you...there's more. Be watching as this unfolds...especially if Beehn lawyers up and wants to make a big defense.

Kyle Eichorn, moron

SALINE CO.--ENTERS PLEA: Home-grown Hardin County punk Kyle Eichorn is now a convicted felon at age 19. We're pretty sure, in his hubris, arrogance and sheer ignorance, that this doesn't impact him one its, since it's not HIS $20,000 that's going toward  his fines and fees...it's likely yours, mine and ours. How does that work? Read this article and see.

CLAY CO.--Meth kingpin caught in second county: Josh Millman, looking closer to 57 than 37, has been busted again, this time in Clay County...where it's likely he's not going to get any more slack cut than his buddy Beehn will be in Edwards. Boys, boys...you shoulda stayed in Richland, where the prosecutors only pretend they're doing something about you. Maybe now the feds will get involved.

HARDIN CO.--The wall came crumbling down: Collapse of the wall surrounding the big hill that once held the old Downey law building...kinda leads into the whole page 8 story about the big pill bust in Hardin.

David Hyde. And his chins. None of whom have done their jobs in Richland County.

RICHLAND CO.--Is he going? That's what everybody in Richland County seems to be asking, as we'd learned about two weeks ago that it was Richland County prosecutor David Hyde's intention to resign from his office. We caught up with some public officials, and in this article is what they had to say about it.

CLAY CO--Bush-King enters quiet plea in very public child porn case: For all the griping Mychal Bush-King's buttlickers did when he was first arrested, there sure isn't a PEEP out of anyone about his guilty plea to both county as charged. I guess now that he's going to be a registered sex offender (which many believe should have happened YEARS ago, but I guess it's a good thing it happened after he reached majority age, otherwise the general public might never have been alerted to him) nobody really wants to associate with him...?

SALINE CO.--Sex predator charged with grabbing local cashier: Well now here you have the mentality of a sex predator. It's not bad enough that he's out and about and trying to assimilate into society...he has to go allegedly groping. I mean, seriously.

EDWARDS CO.--Baby injured, father charged; quarter-million-dollar bond in Edwards County: The bonds are high these days in Edwards. The punishments are usually pretty severe. But there can BE no punishment severe enough for someone who injures a child. Just my two cents. Which, combined with a few more cents, could buy a nice bullet that would end the problem.

SALINE CO., Ill.--Here’s the information on the traffic crash that occurred on Mt. Moriah Road at Illinois 34 between Raleigh and Harrisburg earlier this afternoon.

Illinois State Police work the crash, which, as it turns out, was an alleged DUI-involved incident.

The crash occurred Thursday, July 16, at 3:44 p.m. when one Sandra S. Brooks, 67, of Galatia, was driving a white 2005 Ford F-150 and John F. Ferguson, 56, of Vienna, was driving a white 2005 Dodge Ram, both traveling north on Route 34 just north of Mt. Moriah Road in Saline County.

Bradley J. Bohnert, 40, of Evansville, driving a gray 2007 Ford F-150, was traveling south on 34 at the same location, when he crossed the center line.

The pickup driven by Bohnert first struck the driver side of Brooks’ vehicle, before colliding nearly head-on with the pickup driven by Ferguson.

Ferguson was transported by helicopter to an Evansville, Indiana, hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash.

Bohnert and Brooks were taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

All three drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Bohnert was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Driving While License Suspended and Improper Lane Usage.

ISP District 19 was assisted at the crash scene by the Saline Co. Sheriff’s Department, Harrisburg Police Department and the Harrisburg Fire Department.

The road was closed for a time, but the crash scene was cleared within about an hour.

ALLEGED CAR THIEF PUTS VEHICLE IN DITCH IN SALINE AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE

car crash accident rollover police lights highway

SALINE/WHITE COs.--A cross-county expedition by a kid without a driver's license driving his aunt's vehicle without her permission caused quite a bit of action in both Saline and White counties early yesterday morning.

White County issued the report of having contacted one Jennifer Hargrove of Washington Street in Maunie, after Saline County contacted White regarding a 2004 white Pontiac passenger car belonging to her...but in their county.

Hargrove, 35, was the recipient of a call from White authorities telling her they'd made contact with her nephew, Shawn Smith,20, also of Maunie, and wanting her to advise whether or not he'd had permission to have the vehicle.

She advised that he did not.

She then told them that earlier that previous evening (Monday), she'd looked out the door of her residence and noticed the car missing, so her husband had traveled to Carmi and Grayville to look for it. Smith, she suspected, had taken the vehicle, despite the fact that he lacked a valid driver's license...and that she'd previously made it clear to him that he wasn't to drive the vehicle.

As it turned out, the vehicle was being driven in Saline, and that a deputy had tried to stop it. This lead to a high-speed pursuit that lasted for 5 to 8 miles. The driver, later identified as Smith, lost control of the vehicle, hit a mailbox and then went into a ditch.

Smith, along with a female passenger from Elizabethtown, were taken into custody. Neither were injured. While there's no word on the condition of the vehicle, it was taken to Winters Towing Service in Carrier Mills.

TWO INDIANA TEENS RESCUED FROM GARDEN OF THE GODS

KARBER'S RIDGE, Ill. – Two Indiana teens became lost in the Garden of the Gods Tuesday evening.

Saline County Central Dispatch received a 911 call before 8:30 p.m. from one of the teens who stated that they were lost in the woods.

One of the teens was from Evansville and the other from Indianapolis. The pair had been hiking on a trail from the northwest side of the Garden of the Gods and entered a creek; however, the hikers became disoriented and were unable to return to the trail.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office and the Equality Fire Department responded to the area, and began a search of the area. At 10 p.m. the two teens were located and escorted back to their vehicle. Assisting in the search was the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and Saline County EMS.

Saline County 911 telecommunicators were able to plot the caller's location and were able to guide the hikers and the rescuers to each other.

Garden of the Gods is a wilderness area with several hiking trails and outcropping of rock formations, in Southeast Saline County, about 12 miles southeast of Harrisburg. Saline County Sheriff Keith Brown reminds visitors to the Garden of the Gods area, that they should wear appropriate shoes and clothing, bring water, and a fully charged cell phone. In addition, let someone know where you are going and what time you should be returning.

“This is a wilderness area and there is wildlife in the area, that includes snakes, it takes awhile for first responders to arrive to the park and then even longer to locate someone in the park,” said Sheriff Brown.

This appears to be the first "lost" call from GotG this year; last year, the calls were fairly frequent.

FRIENDS, FAMILY, SAY MISSING WOMAN WALKED AWAY FROM HARRISBURG HOSPITAL

SALINE CO., Ill.--Family and friends of a missing woman in Saline County say she actually walked out of the hospital in Harrisburg, where she'd checked in to the Mulberry Center previously.

Roberta Wallace, 50, of Harrisburg, had checked in to the Mulberry Center sometime prior to walking out of the facility on Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Friends and family said she was having "a mental problem" at that time that necessitated hospitalization.

Between that time and the time she was last seen walking in the vicinity of the hospital in the Gaskins City area of Harrisburg, it's unclear exactly what transpired...as well as how Wallace was able to leave the hospital.

However, the important part is now locating her...and the family and friends are asking for help from the public.

When she was seen outside the hospital, she was wearing a purple tank top, light colored blue jeans, and some thin, spaghetti-strap type flat shoes.

"She probably doesn't know where she is because she is in a state of psychosis," a friend, Neil Bell, reports on his Facebook page, from where this photo of Wallace was shot. Bell said she hadn't had medication since leaving the hospital.

Stating that friends and family fear for Wallace's life, he is urging anyone with any information to contact the family or local authorities if they suspect she is anywhere in the area.

MILES OF TROOPS MOVING ACROSS SOUTHERN ILLINOIS HIGHWAYS

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS--Readers in the coverage area have been reporting the massive convoy of military vehicles moving across southern Illinois this afternoon.

We currently have some photos coming in as well as vid.

This is from the first of the reports, where the convoy, reported to be at least a couple of miles long, were photographed on Illinois Highway 1 south out of Carmi; our reader shot this as she was coming out of the Walmart parking lot in Carmi:

troop movement on 45

The troops were moving south on 1 toward U.S. 45, where our second reader shot video of them. He's working on uploading that, and when we get it, it'll be in a second post.

Our second reader, who was in the military, identified the weaponry the troops inside the vehicles (he stated there were roughly 6 troops to a vehicle), stating he saw blank adaptors on M16s, leading us to believe this is some kind of movement of troops for a training exercise. We haven't been told what, exactly. We have been told that authorities in Eldorado, where our second reader followed the convoy to and got more vid, advised that the troops were moving down 45 to 142 in Eldorado, where they took a turn to go up 34 toward Raleigh, then through Galatia and Thompsonville toward the Benton/West Frankfort area in Franklin County, their ultimate destination.

We find it odd that no one reported them prior to Carmi.

We'll have more as we get it.
