HARRISBURG, Ill. - Authorities have confirmed that two people involved in a water rescue in Harrisburg Sunday night are going to be fine.
Saline County officials said that a call came in at 8:07 p.m. Sunday (April 30) that there had been a car that had gone off the roadway into the water at the Rollie Moore Drive intersection with the entrance to Walmart, located off Commercial on the south side of town.
Harrisburg Fire Department, Saline County EMS, Harrisburg Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff's Office all responded to the call.
Two elderly individuals (whose names have not been released) were pulled out of the car and were checked out by EMS, with refusals of any further treatment.
Apparently, they are fine and were very fortunate to have escaped injury.
