We've fallen down on the job the last two issues, not bringing you Print Headlines for the March Consolidated Election Edition (released March 15) and the April 2017 edition (released April 5), most of this due to dealing with the death of Mike Henshaw on March 22. Everything except the bare necessities fell by the wayside, but it looks like we're back on track, and we'll go ahead and put up the Print headlines for the other two papers, but for now, here's the Print Headlines for the current edition on stands right now, May 2017!

Print Headlines are a way for you to see what we've produced for our print product, also available at the e-Edition, so that you can be an educated consumer when you go out to buy this issue. The bonus here is that when we publish print headlines, you get a link that takes you directly to the e-Edition article...so if you have an online membership, this is a significant convenience for you.

Print Headlines are presented by how they appear in the print version, with the sections being Front Page, Back Page (second front page), Pages 2 and 3, Features if any (usually presented on pages 12 and 13), Egypt, Heartland, Central, and Op-Ed, a little out of place but we save the best for last. They are presented by dateline (where the material in the article occurred), headline link, and then a brief synopsis in our own snarky Disclosure style. And now, without further ado, we bring you THIS ISSUE'S PRINT HEADLINES!!

FRONT PAGE

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Behavior questioned in lead-up to federal lawsuit: This is the second installment of the massive lawsuit bubbling over between Peoples National Bank and Grand Rivers Community Bank. You need to read each one, so you can understand exactly what's going on...and the photo (which we're not displaying here on the free side) that leads this article kind of explains some of it.

Andrew Pierson

LAWRENCEVILLE - Creating crime? It's a question mark because no one was really sure about what the Lawrenceville High School admin are trying to do...but it appears there was a bit of overreaction to the latest "school threat" issue.

Bobby Turner

LAWRENCE CO. - Drug task force takes down two: Bobby Turner and Tim Roth were busted early in April on meth-related counts. Why it took so long for formal charges to be filed remains unknown. Who all those two were running with, however, is not...and we're waiting for the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force to begin taking the rest of them down.

SALINE CO. - Henshaw intestate; probate case gears up over heirs: 'Intestate' means without a will. Which was somewhat surprising, as one would think Henshaw would've had one. Now, there's a probate fight brewing....and it's not even going to happen in Saline County. Read this article to find out what's going on in the case.

BACK PAGE

SALINE CO. - Photo mistake leads to rant about sex offense charge: Just a little friendly reminder: If we request a mug...and you have the same name as another person...and that name is the same as your father....and you and your father have had plenty of mugshots taken because you've both been involved in the criminal element of the area for a number of years...don't be surprised if we're sent the wrong mugshot and run it, and above all, don't contact us being all crappy and proclaiming that your father isn't going to be arrested. All that means is that the warrant hadn't been served yet...and that you're a dumb@$$, Dnine.

HARRISBURG - Mosses pile on Miller in civil case: A little more insight into what a desperate female charged with bankruptcy fraud might do when she has to pay money to the feds over it.

WHITE CO. - Hot (stolen) item on eBay lands local in hot water: A much more detailed version of this incident than what we had here at the page. And it's a pretty big deal, really.

PAGE 2

LAWRENCE CO. - Bridgeport convict could very well be returning to prison diet: The Bridgeport crim report.

WHITE CO. - Three charged with boosting "various items" from local Walmart: One must wonder if these folks aren't allegedly engaging in bad habits in order to support the bad habits of others....

Lisa Wells

CLAY CO. - Farina drug felon facing methamphetamine paraphernalia charges: Clay's drug charges roundup, with the return of Lisa Wells... whose arrest a few months ago prompted the first of a long string of "IMMA GIT MAH LAWYER!!" screeches from people who A - don't have a lawyer and B - wouldn't know what to do with one if they had one because they certainly don't understand that they can't sue US for their gripes.

PAGE 3

Chad Koertge. formerly known in south Richland/north Edwards as "Chaddiwack"

RICHLAND CO. - Parkersburg man jailed in wake of choking incident: Seems to be a lot of questionable activity going on down in the P'burg...

WABASH CO. - Charged with trying to take weapon: A brief Wabash crim roundup.

CRAWFORD CO. - Robinson serial drug convict faces weapons charge, caught in possession of stun gun: A serious Robinson crim matter.

LAWRENCE CO. - Pair of Bridgeport batterings land two behind bars: All alliteration, all day, errday if we can.

EGYPT

SALINE CO. - Woman reports her live-in boyfriend for violence and gets herself arrested: And now you know how the court gets fines and fees, not just in Saline, but EVERYWHERE: Arrest ERRBODY.

POPE CO. - Four popped in Pope on alcohol-related charges: Pope crim roundup.

GALLATIN CO. - Kentucky man punches pornographer in the face: The re-cap - and subsequent follow-up - to the story at this link which we brought you a couple of weeks ago...and it has a happier ending this time.

HARDIN CO. - Hardin County Mabrey herd tied to recent Rosiclare Dollar General thefts: Sorry gals. Yall should've behaved.

JEREMY MAY

SALINE CO. - Homeless Harrisburg pair blame each other for West Walnut Street break-in: Of course they do.

GALLATIN CO. - Shawneetown Docker Lane man charged with sex crime: Seems to be a lot of this going on around here lately....

POPE CO. - Eddyville man busted for boosting batteries: Gotta have more alliteration this issue.

HARDIN CO. - Stonefort menace accused of trying to flee police: We've been warning people about this menace for quite some time now...

Brian Potts

SALINE CO. - Golconda professed federal snitch is charged with 11th felony in Saline Co.: I'm just sitting here waiting for the feds to get tired of Brian Potts running his mouth about being a snitch for them. Because God knows I'M tired of it.

GALLATIN CO. - New Haven woman busted for boosting 100 pills and a pair of boots from her neighbor: She knew what she wanted and she (allegedly) went for it.

Adam Fort

SALINE CO. - Serial Harrisburg drunk driver faces 180 days: We're hoping someone gets this guy off the streets; it's apparent he's never going to stop drinking and driving on his own.

HARDIN CO. - Rosiclare woman charged with child endangerment: The "useless parent" report out of Hardin.

SALINE CO. - Kiddy prison shove charged: Because stuff like that goes on at IYC, often more frequently than we can even say.

SALINE CO. - Ridgway man busted with hydrocodone, methamphetamine and as least once ice pipe: What is it around here with the ICE? Are you people CRAZY??

SALINE CO. - Crim charged with stealing from his own mother after break-in: And how he did so - allegedly, of course - is fairly interesting...and abusive, tbh.

SALINE CO. - Eldorado pair charged in robbery: The 'rado theft report.

HEARTLAND

CRAWFORD CO. - Former councilman sued in civil court: The re-emergence of Tim Akers in court, which happens about once every other year or so.

Nanette Crippes

EDGAR CO. - ETSB was determined to have improperly denied FOIA request: One would think that if the taxpayers are paying for Nanette Crippes to be educated in the finer points of FOIA, she might actually learn the finer points of FOIA...which would include knowing what the exemptions are as opposed to just coming up with something out of the blue.

Ray Miller

JASPER CO. - Yale man charged with molesting a 12-year-old: Somewhere in the defense here is probably a whine of "but that child didn't LOOK TWELVE..."

CRAWFORD CO. - Child sex offender nabbed inside Robinson school: Why Crawford seems to be the place for registered sex offenders to be going in/near the schools is one of those deep dark mysteries...but it keeps on happening.

JASPER CO. - EOP decided in favor of wife and daughters: Kind of a frightening tale of what one Jasper County family had to go through in order to keep dad on a short leash...and to protect themselves.

CRAWFORD CO. - Crawford authorities seek to seize cars and cash in wake of recent drug arrests: One thing that prosecutor Matt Hartrich has going for him: He does attempt to do seizures.

JASPER CO. - Jasper County misdemeanors: Seems to be some inexplicable behavior all up in here...: Misdemeanors. They're not a lot of fun to write, but they ARE a lot of fun to read.

CRAWFORD CO. - Crawford County full of MisMis (misdemeanor miscreants): I reiterate what I said about Jasper County misdemeanors.

JASPER CO. - Newton convicted doper nabbed for shopping for items for meth cook: The Jasper County dope report.

CENTRAL

Adrienne Stevens

Kurtis Harvey

LAWRENCE CO. - Lawrenceville State Street couple and suspected dope cook busted with meth: When there's a big dope bust in Lawrence, you can be assured that there are going to be lots of little peripheral people busted too. It's called narking. Unfortunately in Lawrence, the authorities oftentimes don't listen to the right ones.

RICHLAND CO. - Richland lawmen arrest three suspected drug dealers: Same goes for Richland. Where things are getting kind of flaky, as you'lls ee.

Ryan Keller

CLAY CO. - Flora sex offender forces his way into occupied home: That's known as Home Invasion, and this is going to go badly for dude.

RICHLAND CO. - Parkersburg drunk driver struggles with police: This guy made it to this felony report AND to the misdemeanor report.

LAWRENCE CO. - Lawrence misdemeanors present three up, three on, no score (except for the state): Lawrence misdemeanors show why the county is constantly floundering in the wake of lots of crime being charged, but very little by way of fines and fees collected.

RICHLAND CO. - Shattered window leads to convicted Noble druggie: There was some pretty questionable activity coming out of the village of Noble this past month.

WHITE CO. - Fairfield pair booked in Carmi on drug charges: Gotta get that crossover crim info in there.

WABASH CO. - Two Mt. Carmel child abusers fail to register: This would be different than the sex abusers; there's a new category/registry now, and it has to do with violence toward children.

CLAY CO. - Violent Flora man jailed for violating Order of Protection: The crimes against persons report out of Clay.

WHITE CO. - New Haven woman lands behind bars on meth, pill charges: The lower White County dope report.

WABASH CO. - Violent druggie facing pill possession charge: The WabCo dope report.

LAWRENCE CO. - Lake Lawrence Boulevard boozer busted: This guy is alleged to have endangered others while on the road. He needs to put the bottle down and leave the endangering up to the texters.

RICHLAND CO. - Olney caregiver accused of abusing handicapped neighbor: This one is so hideous, it almost landed on the front page.

WABASH CO. - Stolen money land pair behind bars: One of the many crimes against property pieces coming out of Wabash recently.

WHITE CO. - Last issue's thief now facing further charges: Who names their kid L'Pree anyway???
