HARRISBURG, Ill.---Two Rutan Long EZ aircraft were spotted earlier today at the Dollar General parking lot on Main Street in Harrisburg.
These home-built aircraft are manufactured in Harrisburg and are on their way to their new homes in Tennessee for further rebuilding. The one in the top photo is seven years old and the owner says he plans to plan to put a rocket engine in it.
The one in the photo below is thirty years old.
The Rutan Long EZ is the same type of aircraft singer John Denver was flying when he crashed on October 12, 1997.
